The tree is characterized by very vigorous growth and forms a large, spreading crown. Harvest time falls between late August and mid-September. The variety is a triploid, blooms early, and requires pollinator varieties for fruit set.

Fruits are medium to large in size, unevenly bumpy, with pronounced ribs. The skin is smooth, yellow with reddish stripes. The flesh is yellowish-white, juicy, loose, with a characteristic spicy taste. The fruits are prone to shedding and have low keeping quality.

The variety is susceptible to scab and powdery mildew. Yield is characterized by periodicity, in which the tree may not bear fruit for one to two years following a heavy harvest. It shows its best qualities in regions with a temperate climate and high air humidity.
