The tree of this variety is vigorous, forming a wide and powerful crown. Due to its triploid chromosome set, the variety cannot act as a pollinator for other apple trees and itself requires cross-pollination for fruit set.

The fruits are medium to large in size, often having an asymmetrical, ribbed shape. The skin is smooth, colored greenish-yellow with a red blush or stripes. The flesh is yellowish, juicy and crisp, possessing a distinct aroma and a sweet-and-sour taste.

The variety is versatile in use, but is especially valued in cooking, as the fruits retain their shape well during heat treatment. The apples do not possess high keeping quality and are not intended for long-term storage. The variety is considered winter hardy, while resistance to diseases is assessed as medium.
