Variety description

The variety is a bud mutation of the classic 'Gravenstein'. The tree is vigorous, forming a voluminous and widely spreading crown, reaching a height of 4–6 meters on vigorous rootstocks.

The fruits are medium to large in size, often irregular and ribbed in shape. The color consists of a yellow-green or yellow ground color with an intense carmine or purple blush. The flesh is whitish or cream-colored, tender, brittle and very juicy, with a sweet-sour taste and a strong spicy aroma.

It belongs to the autumn varieties with a harvest period in late August — September. The variety is moderately susceptible to scab and powdery mildew, and possesses good winter hardiness. The fruits are prone to damage when dropped due to their delicate skin.
