The tree is vigorous, forms a spreading crown, and is prone to biennial bearing. Fruits are medium to large in size, of oblong-round, often irregular shape. Upon ripening, the skin acquires a bright yellow color with reddish stripes or a blush.

The flesh is yellowish, tender and juicy, with a characteristic aroma and sweet-and-sour taste. The variety is for early autumn consumption, with the harvest collected from the end of August to mid-September. Fruits have a short shelf life and are sensitive to mechanical damage.

The variety is versatile: fruits are used fresh, for culinary processing, and for the production of alcoholic beverages. The plant is demanding in care and is characterized by susceptibility to scab, powdery mildew, and apple tree canker.
