Gråsten Crimson is a clone of the Gravenstein variety. Fruits ripen in late summer to early autumn, have a sweet-and-sour aromatic taste, and are suitable for fresh consumption or culinary processing. Due to poor keeping quality, it is recommended to use the fruits shortly after harvest.

A distinctive feature of the clone is the presence of a crimson or bright red blush and stripes on a yellow-green fruit background. The trees of this variety are characterized as very vigorous, possessing some of the largest sizes among standard apple varieties.
