The variety originates from the Kerppola estate in Kangasala and was grown from a seed presumably brought from the Myttälä garden in the first half of the 20th century. The plant is adapted to the climatic conditions of Finland and belongs to hardiness zone 3.

The fruits have a yellow-green color with red stripes, thin skin, and a conical shape. The flesh is distinguished by juiciness, pronounced aroma, and low acid content. The variety is intended for fresh consumption and is characterized by a late onset of the fruiting period.
