The variety was obtained as a result of crossing the Cox's Orange Pippin and Jonathan varieties. Trees are characterized by regular and abundant fruiting.

Fruits of medium size have a yellow color with an orange-red blush and stripes. The flesh is firm, the taste is sweet-sour and aromatic, however, the skin can be tough, and russeting is often observed on the surface of the fruits.

The variety is late-maturing; fruits ripen in mid to late October. The variety has good keeping quality, retaining its consumer qualities for up to 4 months when stored in a refrigerator.
