The variety was developed through hybridization at the Fruit Growing Institute in Maribor. It is the result of breeding work crossing Zlata Parmena and Jonathan apple trees.

Fruits of this variety have a round shape, medium to large size, and yellow-green coloration with a red blush. The variety was created as a dessert or utility type for local cultivation, but it was not officially established as a commercial variety.
