The variety is also known by the names Roter Winterhimbeerapfel, Himbeerapfel, Hansenapfel, and Erdbeerapfel. The tree features strong or moderate growth, possesses a sturdy constitution and wind resistance, allowing it to be used for cultivation in orchards and meadow plots.

The fruits are medium to large in size, often with a conical, irregular shape and dark crimson skin. The fruit flesh has a distinct aroma and spicy flavor. The consumption period for the harvest falls between November and January; the variety is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing.
