The tree is vigorous when young, later slowing to a medium size. The crown is dense, with an obovate-pyramidal shape. The variety is demanding of soil fertility and agricultural practices; it is sensitive to moisture deficit, which leads to fruit drop.

Fruits are broad-conical or truncate-conical in shape, weighing 90–200 g. The flesh is yellowish, firm, juicy, with a characteristic spiciness. Harvest maturity occurs in September, consumer maturity from October to March. The variety has good transportability, but when overripe, the flesh becomes mealy.

The variety has low resistance to scab and is susceptible to canker diseases. Due to abundant fruiting, it is prone to exhaustion and premature aging, requiring regular pruning. It is used fresh, for processing, and as a pollinator for other varieties.
