Variety description

The variety is a mutant of the Elstar variety and is classified as a dessert apple. Trees are characterized by vigorous growth and early onset of bearing. The variety is prone to biennial bearing, therefore it requires regular maintenance and early thinning of ovaries to control fruit size.

The fruits have a uniform dark red color, which is more intense than that of the original variety, especially in low light conditions. The flesh is distinguished by a balanced taste and unique aroma. The fruits are not prone to premature dropping and possess good keeping quality, maintaining their quality until February in a standard refrigerator and until April under controlled atmosphere conditions.

The plant is susceptible to the main diseases of the crop: scab, powdery mildew, and Nectria canker. The variety is widely distributed in regions with moderate lighting due to its ability to fully color under such conditions.
