The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and high, but biennial, yields. The fruit is large or very large, often of an asymmetrical, broadly ribbed shape with smooth greenish-yellow skin and a red striped or marbled blush.
The fruit flesh is yellowish-white, very firm and juicy, and has a moderately sweet, spicy taste with a slight acidity. Harvesting takes place in mid-to-late October; consumer maturity is reached between January and April.
The variety is considered hardy and healthy, although it may show moderate susceptibility to powdery mildew and fruit spotting. In literature, it is often discussed together with the Lohrer Rambur variety.
