The tree possesses vigorous growth, forming a wide spreading crown up to 6–8 meters in height. The fruits are large, with a weight of over 200 g, round in shape with dry rough skin of an olive-green or yellow-green shade, sometimes with a reddish-orange blush. The flesh is firm, juicy, fine-grained, and cream-white in color.

The variety is a winter one, reaching harvest maturity at the end of September or mid-October, and consumer maturity by mid-December. The fruits store well until March-April. The apple tree is demanding of soil, requiring calcium-rich and moist soils, and is sensitive to drought. The variety is triploid, therefore it requires the presence of other pollinators and is not suitable for pollinating them itself.

The plant is relatively resistant to scab and fire blight, however, it is susceptible to core rot, spotting, and glassy core of the fruits. Entry into bearing is late, and the variety is prone to biennial bearing. The fruits possess a wine-acidic taste and are highly valued for preparing baked goods, sauces, purees, and juices.
