The variety is a natural mutation of the "Rubin" variety. The tree is medium-vigorous, forming a spreading crown. Fruiting occurs primarily on spurs. The variety is self-sterile and requires pollinators.
Fruits are round in shape, weighing 215–250 g, and have a bright red or brownish-red overcolor. The yellowish flesh is distinguished by medium density and juiciness. The harvest matures in late September to early October and is suitable for long-term storage.
Disease resistance is evaluated as inconsistent; in certain years, infections of powdery mildew are possible. There is a yellow-fruited mutation of the variety named "Bohemia Gold".
