The tree is characterized by a medium-vigorous growth habit and a narrow pyramidal crown. Scaffold branches tend to grow at acute angles, which requires special training. The variety is self-infertile and requires pollinators such as Golden Delicious or Kidd's Orange.
The fruits are medium-sized, ranging from spherical to conical, and have a green-yellow skin with red spotting and stripes. The flesh is tender, crisp, juicy, and aromatic. Harvest takes place in mid-October; consumption maturity occurs in December.
The variety has good resistance to scab, but is moderately susceptible to powdery mildew. The wood is characterized by reduced winter hardiness. The variety develops better in humid locations; fruiting is abundant and fairly regular.
