M 27 is one of the most dwarfing rootstocks, allowing for the cultivation of trees no more than 2 meters in height. It is intended for intensive orchards, small spaces, and container cultivation.
Due to a weak root system, trees grafted onto this rootstock require permanent support throughout their life. The rootstock promotes very early entry into fruiting, often in the first or second year after planting, and has high requirements for soil fertility.
