The plant is a deciduous tree or tall shrub 3–8 meters in height with a wide, dense crown 4–6 meters in diameter. The leaves have a dense structure and a broadly ovate or elliptical shape.
The main feature is the double flowers up to 4 cm in diameter, gathered in half-umbels. Their color changes from pale-pink to lighter as they fade. The fruits are small, spherical or round-ovate, bright-red in color, sometimes with a yellow tint.
This form belongs to decorative species and is not intended for fruit production. It should be noted that different types of apple trees, including Malus ioensis 'Plena', which possess other morphological characteristics, may be offered under the name 'Plena'.
