The tree reaches 4.5–6 meters in height. The crown is compact, narrow, vertical, and spire-shaped. The foliage is deep purple or bronze-green during the summer period.

Flowering is abundant, with pink fragrant flowers in the spring. Fruits are small, dark red or purple, remain on the branches in winter, and attract birds. The variety possesses high resistance to powdery mildew and rust.
