The Pomzai variety, also known under the trade name Courtabri, is a dwarf form of apple tree. The mature plant reaches a height of 1–1.5 meters and grows slowly. The crown is compact or rounded; the tree can be grown as a shrub or as a standard tree.
Flowering occurs in April-May. The variety has good winter hardiness corresponding to zone Z5 and high disease resistance. The fruits are small, orange or orange-red in color, and are not intended for human consumption.
The plant is used for decorative purposes in small gardens, for container growing on patios, terraces, or balconies, and for creating hedges. It is a honey plant.
