The variety was bred under the PRI program to provide genetic resistance to scab based on such varieties as Golden Delicious, Melba, Rome Beauty, Wealthy, and the species Malus floribunda. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and forms a dense crown of obpyramidal, rounded, or oval shape.

Fruits ripen in late August – early September. They have a round, often asymmetrical shape, yellow-green color with a bright striped blush, and creamy juicy flesh. The variety is self-sterile; to obtain a crop, it requires the presence of pollinator trees, for example, Wealthy or Kuban Spur.

The variety exhibits full immunity to scab, while showing weak resistance to powdery mildew. The tree branches tend to spread outward, becoming covered with fruit spurs. The first fruits may appear in the 2nd–4th year depending on the type of rootstock.
