The variety is the result of crossing James Grieve and the hybrid BK 44,18. It belongs to the late-summer or early-autumn apple trees; fruits ripen in September and are suitable for consumption until November. The taste qualities of the fruits are characterized as a harmonious sweet-and-sour taste, with juicy and tender flesh.
The tree is medium-sized, 2 to 4 meters in height, with a well-branched, broad-oval or spreading crown. The variety is self-sterile and requires pollinators. It possesses high biological resistance to scab and spider mites, however, it can be susceptible to powdery mildew and fire blight.
