The Rosalie variety is a columnar apple tree with moderate vigor and very short internodes. It is a late-maturing variety obtained by crossing Aneta and Maypole.
The plant possesses genetic resistance to scab. The variety is intended for decorative gardening, is valued for its appearance, has large, medium-red fruits of broad-round-conical shape, and red-purple flowers.
