The tree grows slowly at a young age, eventually becoming powerful and vigorous with a spreading crown. The variety is traditionally used as a highly compatible and viable rootstock for other apple trees.
Fruits are small or medium in size, round-flattened. The color at maturity is lemon-yellow, often with a reddish blush. The flesh is white, firm, and juicy, with a pronounced sweet-and-sour taste.
The variety is late-maturing: harvest maturity occurs from mid-October to mid-November; the fruits maintain quality until March. The plant is resistant to scab and powdery mildew but susceptible to canker and collar rot. It prefers warm locations and fertile, well-drained soils.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
