RN 29, also known as M.9 RN 29, is a clone of the Malling 9 rootstock. Compared to the original M.9 rootstock, this specimen possesses slightly stronger growth and a more developed root system.
This rootstock is characterized by good propagation capacity in stool beds. Apple trees grafted onto this rootstock require mandatory installation of supports, such as trellises or stakes, due to the weak anchorage of the root system.
