The tree reaches a height of 4–8 meters and has a semi-spherical crown with upright or spreading branches. The leaves are characterized by an increased size compared to the typical species.
Flowering is characterized by deep pink-red buds and large semi-double or double flowers of a soft pink hue. The fruits are small, about 2 cm in diameter, yellow or yellow-green in color, and ripen in August–September.
The plant is intended for decorative use in landscape design and as a pollinator. The tree is susceptible to scab, powdery mildew, fire blight, and rust, and has medium winter hardiness.
