The variety is a mutation of the Jonagold apple tree. Trees are medium-sized, with a broad-pyramidal or spreading crown of medium density. The variety is partially self-fertile; for stable yields, the presence of pollinators such as Idared, Gloster, or Champion is recommended.
Fruits are large, round-conical or round in shape, covered with an intense dark red or orange-red blush. The flesh is cream-colored, firm, juicy, and has a sweet-and-sour taste. Harvest maturity occurs in mid-September; when storage conditions are met, fruits can be kept until March.
