The rootstock belongs to the dwarfing group, providing trees with a size of about 50–60% of a seedling rootstock, which is comparable to M.26. It propagates well vegetatively in the stool bed and produces few root suckers in the orchard; however, due to the characteristics of the root system, trees grafted onto it require support.
The plant possesses resistance to low temperatures and scab, low susceptibility to root rot, but is sensitive to fire blight. Grafted varieties enter fruit-bearing in the 4th year. The rootstock is recommended for intensive horticulture, including plots where fruit crops were previously grown.
