The variety is early-maturing; fruits ripen 2–3 weeks earlier than the Red Delicious variety. Trees are medium-sized, more compact and spreading compared to the Delicious and Granny Smith varieties. The variety is compatible with clonal rootstocks MM106, M778, M779, and Northern Spy.
Fruits are medium-sized, with a diameter of 6.5–7.5 cm, and have a spherical or flattened-spherical shape. The flesh is creamy-white or yellowish, medium-firm, juicy, sweet, and has a medium-grained texture. The variety is susceptible to apple scab (Venturia inaequalis).
In regions with a mild climate, the variety is classified as a low-chill requirement type.
