The variety is intended for cultivation as a medicinal and aromatic plant, where the leaves are the primary value. In fresh plant material, the essential oil content is approximately 3.58 ml/100 g.

The essential oil composition is dominated by menthone (35.5–43.5%) and menthol (30.2–35.0%). The oil also contains pulegone, 1,8-cineole, limonene, and menthyl acetate. Scientific studies of the variety are focused on investigating methods for preserving leaf quality and the content of active substances during drying.
