The variety is intended for industrial use: the production of essential oil and dried plant material. It was bred to eliminate the shortcomings of local populations, such as susceptibility to rust, a tendency toward stem lodging, and a long growing season.
The essential oil of the variety is characterized by a high yield of approximately 0.97%. In the chemical composition of the oil, the menthol content varies between 46–50.2%, and menthyl acetate ranges from 16.8% to 22.5%.
