The variety belongs to the Virginia type (flue-cured) and is intended for the industrial production of cigarette raw materials. It possesses the recessive resistance gene va to potato virus Y, however, it is susceptible to black root rot, which limits its modern industrial use.

In breeding, the variety is used as a parent form for creating new lines and hybrids, including through the use of forms with male sterility (CMS Wiślica). In scientific literature, it is more often considered as an object for genetic research and comparison with new breeding achievements.
