KLIROU 1 is a local Cypriot genotype of Olea europaea, which is not considered a breeding variety in the industrial sense. Genetic studies show no differences between this genotype and other local samples, such as Aglisides and Potamiou.

Trees of this variety possess pronounced vigor. The variety is included in the study of the local Cypriot germplasm pool as part of biodiversity conservation and analysis of olive oil production potential. Detailed morphological characteristics or data on disease resistance are absent in the publications.
