Klirou 2 is a selected clone of a local Cypriot olive variety known as Ladoelia or Local. Trees of this clone possess high growth vigor and were selected during breeding work in Cyprus as promising material for commercial cultivation.

The variety belongs to the dual-purpose category and is suitable for both olive oil production and table consumption. The fruits have an average weight of 6–7 grams, and their oil content is about 20%. Genetically, the clone is close to other local Cypriot olive varieties.
