Trees of the KORONI variety have medium growth vigor and a spreading crown, often subjected to intensive pruning to maintain a compact size. Leaves are small, lanceolate, and dark green. Fruits are very small, weighing from 0.3 to 1.0 g, oval, and slightly asymmetrical in shape.
The variety is early to mid-season and is distinguished by high and stable bearing. Fruits hold firmly to the branches during the ripening period. The plant possesses high drought tolerance and adapts well to poor soils, however, it is sensitive to severe frosts. The variety shows resistance to certain diseases, including peacock spot.
KORONI is considered one of the best varieties for oil production (Extra Virgin), with a product yield of about 20% or more. The oil is characterized by a bright green color, low acidity, high polyphenol content, and a fruity flavor profile. The variety is actively used in intensive cultivation systems with ultra-high planting density.
