10 August 2026
The variety has ancient Greek origins and was developed through folk selection. The tree has medium growth vigor, reaching a height of 5–7 meters, and forms an open crown. The harvest period falls between October and December.
The plant adapts well to arid conditions and strong winds, showing resistance to certain diseases, such as peacock spot. However, the variety is sensitive to severe frosts.
The fruits are small, weighing from 0.3 to 1.0 grams, and have an oval or teardrop shape. The main purpose of the crop is the production of oil raw materials. The oil of this variety is characterized by high stability, content of polyphenols, oleic acid, and a pronounced fruity-herbaceous taste.
