The tree is characterized by high growth vigor and a spreading crown. The variety is precocious but prone to alternate bearing. The fruits are of medium to large size, turn black upon ripening, contain 18–25% oil, and are firmly attached to the branches, which complicates mechanized harvesting.

The plant possesses high resistance to drought and frost and adapts well to calcareous soils; however, it shows susceptibility to leaf spot, Verticillium wilt, and olive fruit fly. The oil of this variety is valued for its sweetish taste with fruity notes.
