ActiveOlea europaea L. · Olive
TODOLIVO S.L.

The variety is the result of many years of selection by farmers and is adapted to the climatic conditions of the eastern coast of Spain. Historically, the name is associated with the use of oil for lighting, but in modern times the fruits are used to create extra virgin olive oil.
Llumeta is valued as an object for the conservation of local genetic diversity. As a rule, the variety is not used as a monovarietal, but acts as a component of blends with other local varieties, such as Farga, Aragonesa and Morruda, giving the final product unique characteristics.
