The Salella variety (synonym Licinella) originates from the Cilento region, Italy. The tree has an upright growth habit and a very dense crown; the leaves are lanceolate and dark green.
The variety matures earlier than other local varieties; harvesting of fruits for culinary processing begins in late September. The oil is characterized as balanced, with notes of grass, almond, and slight bitterness and pungency.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
