The name Lezze is used to refer to local olive forms, also known as Tarantina, which are predominantly distributed in the provinces of Brindisi and Taranto. These trees belong to the oil-producing type.
The plants are characterized by medium vigor and a dense crown. The fruits have an elliptical shape, are covered with many lenticels, and are distinguished by medium or low weight and moderate oil content.
