Limona, also known by the synonym Cimignolo, is an indigenous variety from the Umbria region, which is also found in Marche under the names Lea, Nibbiu, and Nebbia del Menocchia. The plant has a weeping canopy, with branches primarily directed upward.

The variety is characterized by an early fruit ripening period and consistently high yield. The plant shows tolerance to cold and the olive fruit fly, but is sensitive to the fungal disease peacock spot.

The produced oil contains about 71–73% oleic acid and 9–10% linoleic acid. Organoleptically, the product is characterized by herbal notes, shades of artichoke and tomato with a balanced combination of bitterness and pungency.
