The tree is officially recognized as a monumental natural monument. Its genetic characteristics, including the shape of the leaves and fruits, do not correspond to the Empeltre variety, which is dominant in the region, and the fruits are characterized by a more elongated shape.

The height of the tree is 8–9 meters with a crown diameter of about 8.5–9 meters. The trunk circumference at a height of 1.3 meters reaches 7.5 meters, and the base circumference is 15 meters. The age of the tree is estimated in the range of 600 to 2000 years.

The tree remains fruit-bearing, however, it is not used in industrial oil production or for breeding purposes. The object has historical and cultural significance as a symbol of the Terra Alta region.
