Variety description

The variety is a dense, upright shrub with small 3–5-lobed dark burgundy leaves. In early summer, the plant blooms with small white flowers with a pink tint, gathered in corymbose inflorescences, followed by the formation of decorative red bladder-like capsules. Exfoliating bark is characteristic of mature branches.

The plant possesses high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zone 3. It prefers well-drained soils with a pH level ranging from slightly acidic to neutral. It can be grown both in full sun and partial shade, although the foliage color becomes more saturated in the sun.

Due to its compact size, the variety is widely used in landscape design for creating hedges, borders, solitary or group plantings, as well as for container gardening.
