ActivePrunus avium (L.) L. · Sweet cherry
David W.Cain
10 August 2026
The variety is mid-late, with harvesting taking place from the end of June to July. The fruits are characterized by a dark red, almost black color when fully ripe, juiciness, and intensely colored juice.
Due to the pronounced sour taste, the fruits are not recommended for fresh consumption, but are highly valued for making jams, liqueurs, preserves, and baked goods. The variety is known for reliable yields, but is susceptible to Monilinia and Coccomyces.
