The Graffione variety (bianco or nero) is distributed in the Piedmont and Lazio regions. Its fruits range in color from yellowish-red to dark red, almost black, are distinguished by high sweetness, and are primarily used for fresh consumption.

The Laffiona variety is a local variety from the Apulia province. Its fruits have an average weight of about 6.1 g, a heart-shaped form with red-orange skin, white-cream flesh, and a long, thin peduncle. The variety has a medium maturity group, with fruits ripening in the second to third ten-day period of May.
