Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety, also known as Durone di Verona, originates from the province of Verona. The tree is characterized by high vigor, a spreading crown, and can reach 12 meters in height. Fruits are medium to medium-large, spheroidal in shape, and have dark red skin and firm, sweet, pinkish-red flesh.

The variety is self-sterile and requires pollinator varieties, such as Bigarreau Burlat, Giorgia, Van, Ferrovia, or Durone I. The harvest matures in the second ten-day period of June. The fruits have high resistance to mechanical damage and are suitable for long-term storage, fresh consumption, and processing.
