The name Moravka (synonym Frankovka) refers to the grape variety Blaufränkisch (Vitis vinifera), which is used for the production of red wines.

In scientific literature on stone fruit breeding, Moravka is mentioned as a local genotype of common plum (Prunus domestica L.), which is being studied in Serbia and the Czech Republic as an object for breeding work.
