The Pistoiese variety, also known as Bella di Pistoia, is characterized by large-sized fruits with a short peduncle. The fruits belong to the group of sweet cherries with tender flesh, which is semi-adherent to the stone.
The sugar content in the fruits is about 18.0 °Brix with an acidity of 146 meq/l and a pH of 3.97. The variety has a low susceptibility to cracking, amounting to 0–5%.
