The tree of the Pola variety is characterized by a medium or vigorous growth rate and forms a spherical crown with wide branch attachment angles. The variety enters the bearing stage early and produces abundant regular yields. The plant possesses good resistance to frost and low susceptibility to bacterial canker.
The fruits have a broad heart shape and a weight of 8–9 g. The skin is dark red with a brownish tint. The flesh is firm (cartilaginous), juicy, dark red, with red juice. The stone is of medium size, egg-shaped. The pedicel is of medium length, approximately 40 mm.
The variety is suitable for commercial and amateur cultivation, especially in regions with high humidity during the summer period. Van, Vega, Sam, and Büttnera Czerwona are recommended as pollinators.
