The tree has medium vigor, forming a semi-upright or broadly spreading canopy with good branching. The variety is self-incompatible and requires pollinators for fruit set.
Fruits are over 28 mm in diameter, have dark red, almost black skin, and firm, crunchy flesh with a juicy flavor. The variety matures 8–18 days later than the Burlat variety.
When grown on Gisela series rootstocks, particularly Gisela 6, there is a risk of scion thickening, and there is a possible tendency for the formation of double fruits. A possibility of minor leaf spot infection depending on growing conditions is noted.
