The variety belongs to the late-maturing group; fruit ripening occurs in the period from mid-July to August. The tree is vigorous, reaching a height of about 10 meters with a crown width of 6–8 meters. Flowering begins in early May.
The fruits are large, yellow-red in color, and suitable for fresh consumption. The variety possesses good winter hardiness (zone 4) and moderate wind resistance. It is not self-fertile; suitable pollinators include the varieties Early Rivers, Meikers, Schneiders Späte Knorpelkirsche, Varikse Zwarte, and Wijnkers.
